-
Original Airdate: 17-Dec-1997
Brief Plot: When Kyle's musical holiday pal Mr. Hankey shows up it makes for a memorable Christmas in South Park.
Morals: "I'm not fat, I'm festively plump." -Cartman
Kenny: Kenny lives
Written by: Trey Parker
Fun Fact:
- There is no theme, the kids sing a Christmas song instead.
- This is the first episode to have any live action (in the Mr Hankey commercial) and not just animation.
- This is the first full episode in which Kenny doesn't die.
- Mr. Hankey was actually created by Trey Parker's father. Trey had a habit of not flushing the toilet when he was three. His father told him that if he didn't flush the toilet, Mr. Hankey would come to life and kill him. After that, Trey always flushed.
- Trey started drawing Mr. Hankey in high school. One idea when Trey was offered a TV show was The Mr. Hankey Show, but people weren't too happy with the idea of a show about talking poo.
- Mr. Hankey was NOT based on a character created by the Ren & Stimpy creator.
Oops:
- In the counselor's office, the spelling on the wall changes from "Counseler" to "Counselor", correcting the misspelling.
- Just before Chef finishes singing, Kenny is getting the star down from the stage. When Mr Garrison tells the kids to get ready, Kenny is standing next to Stan...then we see him climb off the ladder. Multiple Kennys! No wonder he comes back every week!
