In scenes after Officer Barbrady tears off his badge, he is seen wearing it again. Even though the mayor says that Barbrady is "still our active police force", why did he put it on again if he hasn't returned to duty yet? Can't anyone else read the clues? Barbrady's patrol car has the same license plate as the car driven by the guy looking for a prostitute.
